  I'm shocked at the low star rating here on Yelp. San Marino was recommended to me by a family member when I was looking for a restaurant to have a business lunch in Waterbury. I was so happy I went with the recommendation!
  
  The staff was very friendly, quickly seating us and happy to wait quite awhile until the whole party showed up. We had people coming from all over the state, so with traffic and such, people arrived at different times. The waitress was attentive and came by the table every time someone new joined the table to get a drink order. They also were happy to provide separate checks for our party of 8.
  
  The food was amazing - some people got the special, a lobster panini. It looked fantastic and they reported it was great! The salads looked fresh and tasty, my grilled chicken panini was also perfect. One person got tilapia and did not feel it was fresh, which is why I gave them 4 stars. However, they immediately apologized and checked with the chef to see how fresh the fish was. They provided her with an alternative meal at her request. I was impressed with their customer service.
  
  Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to go here for another work lunch or even a family dinner. They were amazing at accommodating a larger party and friendly staff.

  This restaurant is above average. It is not the best Italian restaurant I have eaten at, but I never had a bad meal here. Food is good, and the portions are good. Service is slow.
  Last time here my wife have the stuffed shrimp which she has had many times before. This time it did not look the same or taste the same and the stuffing was removed and she was not able to eat. A person came around and asked how the dinner was my wife explain this is not what she has had in the past. Is there a different Cook on tonight?They said no but I may take the dish back and ask if there was something different with the stuffing. She never came back with a answer or offer to compensate for a bad meal.

  Dined here many times over the years and the food has always been good. We recently ordered food to go and were given chicken & French fries but we ordered chicken parm, we were told to bring the food back and they will remake. Also order Caesar Salad that was old and nasty(see pics) I would not have served the lettuce to a rabbit. So we had to drive 20 min back to the restaurant to give back the chicken and tossed the nasty salad in trash. Overall a big waste of time and money!

  This place is wonderful I got the pan seared scallops in a mascarpone cream sauce. It's the best food ever had scallops done perfectly. The service is awesome everyone is nice. I will buy here again

  So good!! I love this turkey sandwich. It also came with a side of French fries. Everything was delivered hot. I think the panini is also seasoned. It is just so flavorful. Wonderful meal and cheap price for a great lunch.
